Dr. Wayne Gross grew up in the Pittsburgh area and graduated from high school in the Seneca Valley.
He went to Oral Roberts University which is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and completed his undergraduate in physics, chemistry and computer science. During his time in college he officiated college sports as well as semi-pro baseball which gave him the opportunity to travel all around the country.
He went to Oklahoma State Medical School and completed his three years of intemal medicine residency in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He then moved to New Jersev where he met Dr George Seese. They did their cardiology training together from 1990 to 1993. Dr. Gross spent an extra year learning how to do balloon angioplasty and coronary Rotablator.
He joined Stark Medical Specialties in 1993.
His interests include scuba diving and saltwater aquariums. He has had the opportunity to scuba dive with hammerhead sharks in the Galapagos Islands as well as the great white sharks in South Africa.
Dr. Gross is married to Sheila, whom he met in college and they have two children, Adam and Rachael. He was the first cardiologist to perform transesophageal echocardiograms in this area. He established the protocol to be used at several local hospitals including Affinity Medical Center and Union Hospital.
